Funds OKd as new classes open Monday at Sioux Army Depot
Funds have been approved for a one year extension of the Federal manpower retraining program at Sioux Army Depot. Sidney schools superintendent Russell Pedersen announced Congress and the Nebraska Department of Labor have arranged for five project categories adding seven staff and a student body of 200 for auto body and mechanics clerical and building maintenance training. Current retraining students will graduate Friday with most securing employment. The food services course continues under a separate proposal with no interruption. Rep. Dave Martin says details on total funds will come soon.
