Lloyd Thompson of Gurley passed through Sidney Tuesday from Wyoming homestead country. Jet Reel, Henry Blome, and H C Frandsen traveled by auto from Dalton to Sidney on Wednesday. Mrs Carl Trognitz and her baby son moved to Kimball to live with her parents while planning for the future. Miss Henrietta Shoemaker spent several days at the Hl Anderson ranch to ease bereavement.
Charles Irwin and L O Fundingsland have horses prepared for a November 11 race at the Sidney Fairgrounds with a purse of 800 dollars. Mrs. FL Couch mourns as her eldest brother was killed in battle on September 24. Another brother is at the front. M W Osborn trips to Denver to bring back two touring cars with Ben Vacik assisting. Five train Joads of soldiers went through on Wednesday and a number of the companies were allowed to get off and move around to rest themselves. Their good spirits are manifest all the time.
Adolph Swenson has been in town a few days and says he has thresh ed 2,807 bushels of wheat on 118 acres near Simla north of Dalton. He reports being well satisfied with his farming venture.
Mrs Cland Garey and her young son will return tomorrow to Peetz after visiting her parents Mr and Mrs Dr Bennett. They plan to live with the late Grand Garey’s parents for the winter while Dorothy will stay in Sidney.
Mrs H S Phillips Mrs George Fust and Mr and Mrs T H Wayhaus attended Bessie Phillips funeral in Kimball the Phillips granddaughter and niece to the three. Mrs Brenneman had cared for her daughter and left when danger passed.

The course includes a visit to Minneapolis Steel and Machinery Company the largest tractor works in the United States. Start times include November January February or March.
