Sinclair corporation faces Nebraska tax assessment debate

The Sinclair company was taxed in Nebraska last year on 3 248000 across 13 counties. Its valuation has stood at 3 500 000 for years, with possible reductions totaling about 75 000 for engines and pumping-station equipment removed from the state. At a North Platte conference the consensus favored taxing properties on potential worth, given that farmers homeowners and businesses pay on ownership value regardless of profitability.
