CHAPPELL: Thomas Hart Benton the noted muralist from Kansas City was a guest at the Aaron home last week. Preliminary sketches and studies of Chimney Rock and the Courthouse Rock will be included in the panoramic background of the mural for the Truman Memorial Library at Independence, Missouri. Mrs Benton is pursuing Oregon Trail research to be depicted in the mural, a three year painting project.

Potter girl 20 breaks leg after horse toss
A 20-year-old Potter girl, Eileen Terman, was thrown from a horse this morning and sustained a broken leg. She was taken to Sidney Memorial Hospital where doctors set the bone and reported she was in good condition.

Minor Collision Report in Sidney No Injuries
Sidney police recorded a minor traffic mishap on Thursday involving Lucy S Gallardo and Wilbur Rolo, both of Sidney. Gallardo was changing to the outside lane when it struck Rolo, who was in the outside lane. Estimated damage was about 50 dollars to each vehicle.
