Extradition Bid For Michel Denied By Colorado Governor
Former Omaha oil man Hubert M. Michel, now operating a cut price filling station near Denver, avoids Nebraska extradition on stock swindle charges after Governor Adams rejects the request. Matthias Spier argues in Omaha that Nebraska papers are standard. Colorado officials call them defective. Michel’s attorney Hawkins denounces the papers as false, while Nebraska’s Stalmaster labels the refusal a travesty of justice.
