Doves Hatch a Hen's Egg in Quirky Pittsburgh Experiment
Mrs. Ernest Hirsh of Pittsburgh surprised by a novel experiment with Jiwo doves becoming foster parents to a baby chick. After three weeks the doves hatched and nursed the chick, initially doubting the dove would incubate the egg. The nest yielded a chick that pecked free and explored the nest. An advertisement for acetylene welding and auto services follows.
