Extension Granted for Grain Plan Signups
The Sidney ASC office announced an extension of the emergency feed grain sign-up deadline to June 1 due to late activity. As of this morning 515 of 603 eligible farms in Cheyenne County had signed, a statewide record. Cheyenne County also notes June 15 as the final date to destroy excess wheat acres with no extension. Nationwide, 920,629 farms enrolled through May 12, with 20.6 million acres removed from production and advance payments surpassing 270.6 million dollars.
