Pine Bluffs Bank Closed by State Examiners
The Pine Bluffs State Bank was closed Monday by state bank examiners per Wyoming State Examiner Stanley Brown. Frozen paper in agricultural and livestock loans cited as the reason for the closure. The bank’s April 12 statement showed total resources of 21,000.75, deposits of 21,531,TIATR, and capitalization of 50,000. B. Beyerle, mayor of Vine Bluffs, serves as president and B. W. Curry as cashier.

Striped cucumber beetles were controlled last year by extension co operators using calcium cyanide in dry flake form. Cloth bags placed in boxes inverted over the plants for under a minute on one hill. Precautions note cyanide as a poison. avoid dusting on wet plants or ground to prevent rapid gas that could burn plants.
