Thousands in western Nebraska and eastern Wyoming will attend The Gift of God pageant near Bayard this June. Last year drew over 6,000. this year aims for 15,000 with 135 cast members plus traffic personnel and ushers. The event runs June 23 to 25, features Barabbas, enhances scenery, camping, and outdoor facilities, and is presented by federated churches with Rev. L H Kaub directing.

Crack Army Planes Fly Over Sidney en Route to Air Maneuvers
A squadron of 56 Boeing pursuit planes from the 95th squadron, en route from Cheyenne to Omaha for army air maneuvers at Dayton, passed over Sidney in three detachments. The single seat fighters, orange in color, averaged 180 mph, with transports and a white photographic model spotted en route. The three-hour, 15-minute flight drew crowds as planes, led by squadron commanders, formed groups and crossed over Sidney.
