Cheyenne County Wheat Outlook Tops State Production
Cheyenne County could yield about six million bushels as the Panhandle aims for over twenty million bushels, with Nebraska averaging 31 bushels per acre from a near 97 million bushel winter wheat forecast. Moisture shortages, May freeze risk, and strong winds have influenced yields as crop officials monitor conditions.
