Red Raiders Talley 78 Points Third In District Track
Rick Seidel led the Red Raiders with wins in the 120 high hurdles and discus at the Class B District Track meet in Scottsbluff earning state qualification for Omaha. Bill Wait and Scott Cornelius also moved on with top finishes. Ogallala and Sidney strong in relays and field events. Sidney set a district relay record, while Gering led team scoring with 122 points and multiple individual placers.

Gurley Wins Class D District Title In Close Meet
Gurley Pirates beat Harrisburg 83 81 to claim the Cass D District title at Bayard. Mike Miller set a high jump record 6-5 and led Gurley with other strong showings including the mile relay win and key near finishes. Harrisburg’s Ballesteros and Deaver traded a photo finish in the 880 while Gurley maintained lead through finals.
