Third Set Of Twins Adds New Spice To Mother's Day
Dale and Gail Stein embrace being the youngest twins in Major R. S. Stein's Sioux Ord nance Depot family. The couple welcomed a boy and a girl born April 16 at Sidney Memorial Hospital, joining two older sets of twins and two single children. The eight children span four states and Germany. Despite the trio of twins, the Steins note twins occur about once per 100 deliveries. Major Stein remarks he was not surprised by a third set, while Mrs. Stein says caring for three sets of twins feels like caring for one child.

Sidney band seeks 2000 more for Oregon trip
Three fund raising projects have raised nearly 1500 dollars for the Sidney high school band to tour Portland Oregon for the Rose Festival next month. A public dance at the National Guard Armory on May 23 will boost funds with Millard Music donating services. The trip costs are estimated near 10000 dollars with band members contributing 30 dollars each and various events adding to the total. Tickets are one dollar for adults and fifty cents for students.

John Halsett of Worland Wyoming was brought to Cheyenne County to face forged check charges. He was returned from the State Reformatory at Lincoln by Deputy Sheriff Kermit Brumbaugh. Arraigned in county court, Halsett entered no contest and was bound over to District Court with bond set at 300 dollars.
