Loyal T y Day program hosted by McGuyer Post 610 and Auxiliary featured speaker Ross Boyer who warned about Communist influence on youth and urged adult action. Master of ceremonies Chet Hickman introduced Elton Mundt and other officials. Presentations included three year secretary pin to Mrs Gene Bennett and district awards to Glenda Fleming and Alver DeWitt. Several 25, 20, 10 and 5 year pins were announced for Auxiliary members including Mrs Jessie Chapman and Mrs Laura Lee Chapman.

Stecher Rites Held Saturday at Holy Trinity Lutheran
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for Lester W. Stecher 85 who died Thursday at Memorial Hospital prior to hip surgery. Rev Harlan Breil led the rites. Burial followed at Potter Cemetery with Gehrig and Son Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Ray Slama Robert Slama Don Benish Maynard Mayer Leon Karnik and Allen Karnik.

Lloyd Spencer won first prize a handmade Afghan made by Mrs. Violet Minshall at the Crippled Children's Benefit Dance held at Central School Saturday evening. The event also awarded an adding machine to Rev. Ralph Henkle. Grocery winners included Art Witkowski, George Saab, Wayne Rempel, Doyle Butts, Pauline Schmitt, Gary Fisher of Crawford, and B C Jones of Commerce City Colorado. Guests included Rudy Parks and Chan Chandler with others from Denver Big Springs Oshkosh.

The Gurley School will present Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at 7 30 p m in the school auditorium. Miss Catherine Atkinson directs with student performers from grades 1 through 12. Peggy Ahlschwede stars as Snow White. the seven dwarfs are sixth graders Lynette Lessig Rick Madison Ronnie Ahlschwede Diane Jones Danny Wolff Joe Black and Debbie Ewert.
