May 1 to 7 marks National Home Demonstration Week highlighting women as Home Extension club students guided by University of Nebraska staff. About 375 Cheyenne County women study nutrition safety family life and home management, using club work as classrooms and extension bulletins as texts. Federally funded via Extension Service, all women may join or seek help from the County Extension Office for home and family problems.

A tour of the Memorial Rest Home addition at Memorial Hospital in Sidney will be held Thursday May 5 for all Extension Club members in Cheyenne County. Meet in the hospital lobby at 2 p.m. Hospital Administrator Leo Bolin will lead the tour of the $300 000 addition opening later this month.
