Free Plant Appraisal Move Blocked by Sidney Council
Sidney voters were denied a free expert appraisal of the municipal plants at the Friday night council meeting. Councilman I E Grabill vehemently opposed bringing in a disinterested engineer to value the plant and estimate future expenditures, despite support from other officials and manager Ed Paquette who already submitted a report. The plan was shelved as Grabill protested, while city officials hoped a free, unbiased report would aid voters ahead of the March 26 polls.
