Validation Training Underway At ESU Fourteen Staff

Three Educational Service Unit No 14 staff members Mrs Michael Nelson Mrs Carol Saville and Mrs Charlotte Doyle will undertake validation training this Sunday Monday and Tuesday in Council Bluffs Iowa. The orientation session allows the Speech and Language Development Project for trainable mentally retarded to meet the validation team which will visit Sidney in late April. The team will judge program innovativeness exportability successfulness and cost effectiveness to determine future State Department of Education support. The project now in its third year is being tested in four Nebraska schools.

Panhandle May Receive Snow

The Panhandle may get light snow as colder air moves in Nebraska and much of the state cools. Strong winds are expected with lows near 20 to 25. Snow chances persist into Tuesday with highs in the 40s as a low pressure system shifts from the central Nebraska South Dakota border toward New York state and the Colorado front Southeastward.

Dailey Seriously Hurt In Lodgepole Collision

Robert Dailey of Lodgepole sustained a skull fracture and crushed chest after a car truck collision at a county road intersection near Sunol. Charles Helfrich of Lodgepole, treated for facial cuts and arm injuries, was the other driver. Dailey was en route to Cheyenne for treatment.

Cheyenne County Commissioners Set Tuesday Session

Cheyenne County commissioners will meet in regular session Tuesday at 8 a.m. in the Court House. The agenda includes renewal of liquor licenses subject to objections and a session with highways superintendent F. B. Thompson. They will discuss establishing several roads and closing others.
