Ohio Oil Co plans to set surface casing tonight at No 1 Prichard near the West Sidney Gas Field in Cheyenne County. The Dover rig moved from No 1 Dunlap in Morrill County, which was plugged after one test. Also cited is No 1 Sanders north of Potter by Petroleum Inc. of Denver, abandoned at total depth of 5 610 feet. Other new Nebraska locations announced by the state geologist include Baker No 1 Kimball County and Roessig No 1 Kimball County among several fields and wildcats.

Mrs Walter Hodgkin, former Sidney resident, died March 5 in an Edinburg Texas hospital after a period of poor health. The couple lived in Sidney about ten years in the 1920s. Hodgkin had a law practice here and preceded her in death. Survivors include daughter Mrs Harold Haley Rt 1 Box 184 Roanie Texas and two grandsons.

Man Charged in UP Break In
Cheyenne County sheriff investigated a break in at the Union Pacific freight house. A valuable office machine was stolen. Donald E Leeney of Greeley was arrested after police traced the machine to him. He claimed to have bought it from an unidentified man in a Cheyenne bar. Leeney was arraigned in County Court and released on a $100 cash bond.
