Cheyenne County 4-H Wins State Field Crop Honors

During 1959 Cheyenne County 4-H members earned three state field crop prizes. Jerry Flora won a trip to 4-H Club Congress for judging, Gerald Walker earned a Chicago trip for grain marketing, and Dennis Miller earned a trip to Omaha for wheat records. Jerry Miller previously topped the 1955 Wheat Show with wheat and barley, both Miller brothers belonging to Huntsman Hustlers club. The report notes broader crop projects include oats barley and sorghums with weed control and judging practice, plus club reorganizations for 1960 and plans for county judging teams to compete at state fairs.
