Wheat is in good shape says Nebraska lines chief
Superintendent Kelso of the Nebraska and Kansas lines of the Rock Island reports to Fairbury headquarters that warm dry weather has not materially damaged small grain. Across the region from Omaha to Phillipsburg he estimates yields near eighteen bushels per acre, with west of Phillipsburg shorter and east to Fairbury up to twenty five bushels in many fields, southern Nebraska much better overall.
