Softball Opens Season With Two Local Night Games
The Sidney Jaycee Softball Association launches the season with Horseshoe Bar vs Wheatbelt at 7:30 and Al's Conoco vs Sioux Army Depot at 9 at Legion Park. Eight teams play seven games each in a single round robin through August 9, with games Mondays and Fridays. Other clubs include Bronson Foland Farm Equipment Milly and Wayne's Bar Dalton and the Jaycees.

Three Sidney golfers earned flight placings at the Kimball Invitational at Kimball Country Club. Ric Ladine placed third in the championship flight with 27 holes at 105.
