Sidney Chautauqua reports from July 3 to 8 on Bukara Island in Victoria Nyanza describing an overpopulated 36 square mile area with 19,000 residents. Garden plots are marked, ownership tightly observed, and trees valued over soil with dividing lines permitting family shares of branches and leaves.
A special meeting of School District No. 31 Cheyenne County is called to vote a levy of 2000 dollars for general school purposes. The meeting takes place at the School House on Saturday July 9 1921 at 2:00 p.m. Directors Moderator and Treasurer are named. Local ads note electrical supplies hail insurance and lumber services.
In Cheyenne County District Court Nebraska First National Bank of Bayard files to nullify a 1919 deed conveying SE quarter section 28 15 51 and to sell the land to satisfy a $211.50 judgment plus interest costs. The petition cites installments in May 1921 and an unsatisfied execution due to insolvency and lack of assets by Nora Chambers.
The First National Bank of Bayard Nebraska sues Mrs Nora Chambers now owner of lands described for fraudulent transfer dated May 17 1919 to her daughters Viola Myrtle Holstrom and Birdella Esther M Holstrom in an attempt to defraud creditors. Plaintiffs seek judgment satisfaction and require answer by July 25 1921 with court action pending.
