Wheat Harvest Forecast Third Week In July

Farm observers in the Nebraska Panhandle anticipate wheat harvest about a month away with many predicting the third week in July. Deuel County edges may start earlier, though spring was slow and harvest hinges on late June to early July weather. The crop looks good with ample moisture and drought threats mitigated by irrigation, while hail has damaged some counties though unlikely to exceed five percent Panhandle-wide.
