Local woman offered job in Sidney fraud case
A Portland man, Donald Paul Easter, 33, was arraigned in Scotts Bluff County Court on a charge of obtaining money under false pretenses after investigators linked him to a Sidney fraud case. A Sidney woman reported a similar job offer involving a telephone answering post and a questionable $150 guarantee, with police noting Easter used a business card bearing the initials LT.L. and sought $100 to $500 bond from victims. Bail set at $10,000 remains unposted as the hearing approaches.
