Gurley Loyal Workers mark 35 years of service and history
The Gurley Loyal Workers Extension Club commemorates 35 years since a June 29 1938 organizing meeting at Mrs J O Lobb home. Charter members include Mrs Ernest Myers still active as secretary treasurer. The club, later using Gurley Fire Hall and Dalton Bank rooms, has held dozens of programs, parades, extensions and community service, with members and officers guiding its growth.
