Record turnout marked fourth annual Lodgepole Saddle Club show

A Sunday event drew a record crowd with 87 horses entered. Wilmer Brauer of Sidney won the Mor gan stallion blue, Harold Miller Jr of Akron the Quarter horse class, and Florence Quinn of Lodgepole took the mare division and reserve grand champion.

Clover Leaf Drovers hold June meeting and show plans

Clover Leaf Drovers chaired by Linda Thayer opened at 8:30 p m with 21 members and one guest. Kent Wright reported on the June 9 Chappell Horse Show and Linda Thayer awarded a fall round belt buckle trophy.

Heavy damage and injures in two-vehicle crash at Elm and 19th

Two cars collided at 9 52 Sunday at 19th and Elm injuring Harold Schepker and a passenger Carolyn Schepker. Both were taken to a hospital. Estimated truck damage 1500 and the car total loss. No charges filed. Other Sunday incidents include a reckless driving ticket for Lula Hall after a 19th Street collision with a parked car.
