The Chicago and North Western Railway notes a new line to the Rosebud Indian Reservation perimeter aiding settlers in the homestead program. Federal registers open July at Yankton Fairfax and Bonesteel with registrations through July 28 and final entry starting August 8 at Bonesteel.

The Nebraska State Fair will be held in Lincoln from August 29 to September 2. Live stock exhibitors are enthusiastic as first and second premium winners will receive free transport to the St Leonia Exposition.
