Derailment disrupts Union Pacific line near Potter
Forty two coal cars derailed two miles east of Potter at the rocks curve on Saturday at 3 p.m. causing black dust and bent rails. One man, George Felder, 50, jumped the train in Cheyenne and is jailed in Sidney for riding a train. Total cars were 114. about 12 salvageable. Track repairs continued, with east track cleared by Sunday 3:50 p.m. and west track by 10:15 p.m. Sunday.
