Hanging of Dick Barnett at Red Canon

A rugged camp tale recounts a vigilante party ambushing guards and trying Dick Barnett for horse stealing and wounding. He accepts execution, writes letters to family, and is hanged at the canyon, his body buried in red soil near a pine marker noting his Steubenville, Ohio origin and death date February 26, 1876.
