Lincoln Highway Transcontinental Dream Realized by 1920s Progress
The article chronicles the Lincoln Highway molding from scattered dirt trails in 1918 to a funded, federally supported backbone route across the United States. It notes state cooperation, the National Treasury aid, and the Federal Highway Act, with near 10 million dollars yearly for improvements and calls Utah’s barrier to be removed. It ends with local ads for cabbage, tomato plants, and butter.
