Figures and Folklore from a 19th Century Column
Joseph Oberfelder traveled to Denver for both business and leisure and recently returned from Kearney where he dealt with financial boards. Mose later says the mule is kind after Sam notes the animal runs into a tree when released, and a punchline suggests the mule is not blind but indifferent.
