First Cheyenne County Teachers Institute Opens at Sidney
The 1886 Cheyenne county teachers institute opened in Sidney with conductor Prof Tipton and county sup erintendent Mrs Shelton guiding sessions July 19 to 24. Attendance included Miss Florence Harrington and Mrs Clark with local officials welcoming educators and a plan for a Cheyenne county Teachers' Association approval.
