Cream price rules limit varying prices for cream buyers
Attorney General Sorensen ruled that cream buyers may not post two different statewide prices to meet local competition. Prices must, after transportation, be uniform across Nebraska unless local competition justifies a bona fide variance. A two price offer at the same station is unlawful unless the same margin is offered statewide.

State officials fail to raise wages at start of biennium
Attorney General Sorensen and State Superintendent Taylor are among officers who have not increased employee wages as of July 1. Deputy Austin notes that while salaries should rise, legislative appropriations do not permit. Stenographers in the state superintendent’s office are paid up to 100 compared with 120 in other offices. Railway commissioners made one promotion with a slight raise but did not fill a vacancy. Board of control members say no increases, only a minor 5 per month boost for select efficient staff. Code department heads report no salary hikes.
