Cheyenne County Agricultural Society Formed in Sidney

Citizens gathered at the engine house to organize a county agricultural society with Judge Geo W Heist as chair and J C Bush secretary. Over forty signed, a constitution and by laws were drafted, officers were named including WF Paine president F L Smith first VP D D Johnson second VP J C Bush secretary and F M Shirley treasurer. Future meetings planned for fair displays at state and Omaha fairs and to discuss permanent grounds.
