Humid Weather Strains Wheat Harvest in Nebraska Panhandle
Western Nebraska farmers struggle as rain wind and high humidity threaten the Panhandle wheat harvest. Uncut wheat remains a small portion of acreage but quality suffers under humid conditions. Ground now airily ready for fall wheat planting, acreage adjustments show the usual overplanting pattern before spring deadlines.
