A chaotic roundup of strike actions and government reactions spans Debs and allies in jail to barracks portents. Reported incidents include arson and dynamite attacks near Montana and Washington, with crews displaced and trains halted amid protests and security orders.
In 1894 Cheyenne and Ogden will see reinforcement troops as federal forces aim to quell strikes in Wyoming Utah Nevada and California. Fort McKinney and Fort Robinson detachments travel to the overland routes to bolster troops already deployed along the Union Pacific corridor.
Edward Sellim aged 27 formerly from Isher Surrey England died in Sidney Nebraska on Wednesday July 18 1894. Cause of death was heart failure. He was well known and respected by locals. Funeral was held Friday from the Pacific Hotel with many friends in attendance.
