Food Habits Scored by Club Members at July Meeting
Thelma Wolfe led an individual food selection demonstration as girls learned to score their habits three times during the project. At Evelyn Schneider’s home on July 11 they studied the vegetable and fruit budget and practiced estimating food needs for a Nebraska family over eight growing months. Defective screw top lids were noted and the need for perfect lids in canning vegetables and fruits was taught. Mrs. Joan Kasten provided 17 home canning rules. Evelyn Schneider performed a song to the tune of Jingle Bells.
