Susan Herboldsheimer, 18, daughter of Bennie and Mrs Herboldsheimer of Potter, photographed for the official 1970 Wheat Queen portrait released by Arnold Kuhn of The Hemingford Ledger. Kuhn takes the image each summer, distributing to Nebraska and Colorado papers. Susan, a Potter High graduate, plans to attend Nebraska University, majoring in home economics, and hopes to sew cook and knit. Her sister Patricia was 1968 Nebraska Wheat Queen. The photo was taken on the Kosmick farm near Alliance in Lancer wheat fields. Susan will reign until November.

Keith Sayre Killed in Tractor Accident at Sac City
Former Sidney resident Keith Sayre, 31, died Thursday evening when his tractor overturned while cleaning debris after a tornado in Sac City Iowa. He had recently moved to Sac City, owned a local business with his brother Chuck, and is survived by his mother Ada Sayre widow Diana and three sons Robbie Rick and Randy. Funeral services are planned Saturday at the Presbyterian Church in Sac City.
