Notice given that our printing and publication firm has changed to Joseph B. Gossage & Co effective July 14 1870 All debts owed to the old firm will be collected and all bills against the old will be settled by the new firm Sidney Nebraska.

I T Clarke came from the east on Thursday morning. Jas Rawls prepared to ship 4000 lbs of provisions to Hills. Chas Whatt returned from Spotted Tail Agency reporting quiet with Lol the poor Indian. Jack Anderson returned from Grand Leland and appears cheerful. Capt Hubert of Omaha arrived from Deadwood with 16 teams. Major North returned home from Town. Marshal Smith of Columbus sought a room to stock goods here in coming weeks. Local property owners urged to build business houses promptly.

Ida, nine months old, daughter of Lieut and Mrs Charles Iny, died at Sidney Barracks Nebraska at 6 A M July 9 1876. Funeral held Monday at 2 P M at the Barracks.
Local ads list maple sugar and fresh eggs at McDonalds, Quicksilver and scythes at the Hardware store, good lager beer, ox-bows, oats, and grains from Moore and Clarke. C A Moore markets daily meat and prints, butter and eggs, selling country produce and grain.
A compilation of local ads lists Moccasins at 1.50 per pair at Dudley’s, large ladies and children’s shoe stock at McDon, Graham Flour at Clarke’s store, St. Louis Lager Beer, Cincinnati Bottled Beer and Milwaukee Lager at various outlets, dry goods and clothing specials by O A Moore, Mrs Porter ice cream and confectioneries, new dry goods at McDonald, Mrs Porter's ice cream parlor drinks, Cincinnati Bottled Beer and Milwaukee Lager at the American House, Williams & Co offerings, cartridge stock at Dudley, Milwaukee Beer and Ale at the billiard hall, and lumber and building materials from C A Moore.
