Maple Grove residents and guests filled a week with visits and gatherings. Families visited relatives in Greeley, Estes Park, Denver, and Sterling, and Fourth of July picnics and lake outings were common at Krueger’s lake. A surprise 21st wedding anniversary for Mr and Mrs C Brinton featured 500 and prizes, with many neighbors attending.
Mrs Ed Brockelsby was on the sick list at the start of last week. Claus Engelland and Ed Wolverton helped Fred Kettler stack hay on Tuesday. Mrs C B Kinton visited Mrs Ed Lipke Tuesday. Mrs Ed Wolverton visited Mrs Fred Kettler Tuesday. Mr and Mrs Arnold Braasch of Gurley called on Henry Braasch Wednesday.
