School Board Appoints Three New Teachers
At a Monday meeting July 3 the Sidney Board filled coming year vacancies. Miss Hanna Dunlap of Moab Washington will replace Martha Greenlee who moves to Twin Falls Idaho. Dunlap a Kearney State Normal graduate taught in Post Falls Idaho the last three years. Mr J J Lewis of Martins Ferry Ohio elected to replace last year’s music supervisor Strain. Lewis Welsh born, trained in Britain, graduate of Thomas Normal Training Detroit. will teach three days weekly as district music supervisor and tenor soloist. Mr I L Pindell of Somerset Kentucky chosen to succeed Dunlap as High School Principal. Pindell a Transylvania University graduate, finishing MA at Chicago University, with prior teaching and supervising experience.

Four Year Old Drowns After Fall From Hayrack
On a Wednesday last week the four year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Albert Frerichs of Union Valley precinct fell from a hayrack while playing and broke her neck dying instantly. Funeral held Thursday at home, burial in Babb cemetery. Reverend Wimberly of Dalton conducted services. The family has endured multiple misfortunes and receives community sympathy.

Fred Stowe returned Friday noon from Michigan where he spent a month among relatives. His wife and daughter remained for a longer visit and will come back just before school begins in early fall. Mr Stowe says the season was cool and backward and most delightful for visiting.
