Hot Weather Fishing Tips From The Game Commission

Lincoln notes hot weather can boost summer fishing if anglers use the right tricks. To reach cooler water anglers should boat or wade as weeds thicken, fish at varying depths, and target species like white bass panfish catfish and trout in deep cool waters. Night or dawn fishing is advised for bass and other game fish while deep-running lures and appropriate live baits help reach cooler depths. Take care to ice and clean catches promptly to prevent spoilage in heat.
