Mr. Russell today took over active management of the Fort Sidney Motor Hotel succeeding L. E. Wamsley. He will run the business for L. H. Russell Inc. The 39 year old Missouri native has lived in Nebraska ten years and previously led Ep pley Hotels operations in Missouri Iowa and Nebraska including Fontenelle Hotel in Omaha. In 1960 he founded Institutional Catering and Management Services Inc to provide food service for seven colleges and universities in the region. He sold the business in 1963 and helped finalize the Ft. Sidney move. Mr. Russell is married with four daughters.

Fireworks Displays Scheduled in Cheyenne County This Weekend
Cheyenne County will host three fireworks shows this weekend with Buffalo Bend and Sioux Army Depot on Friday night and Dalton on Saturday night July 4. The Potter Volunteer Fire Department sponsors Point of Rocks display and the Dalton Lions with Town Board back the Dalton event. The Sioux Army Depot show July 3 is funded by the Sioux Officers Mess and the Sioux Civilian Welfare Fund, not government money. Gates open with ample parking. a 7:15 p.m. simulated atomic blast starts the Sioux show, daylight viewing for the opening moment. more spectacular displays follow after dark. A pre show picnic, band concert, and lemonade plus ice cream are planned in Dalton, with local businessmen sharing financing.

Frank Tadolini, 40, of Padroni, hospitalized with broken ribs after his car struck a calf and then a pickup driven by Bernard Fuehrer, 43, of Sidney. Kenneth Fuehrer, 14, of Sidney, had a forehead bump as damage totaled about 11,500 to the car and 1,000 to the pickup.

A complete tally of the loss sustained by Stickney's Appliance Department in Saturday night burglaries estimates $1,900 in stolen merchandise. Cars and pickup collide injuring three in Sidney
A chain reaction crash on the east edge of Sidney at 10 10 a m involved two cars and a pickup towing a 45 foot house trailer. Three people were treated and released at Memorial Hospital for minor injuries while damages exceeded 1700 dollars. The lead car a 1957 Plymouth driven by Pamela A Houser 19 of Sidney stopped to turn.
