Wheat forage trials show promise as livestock feed
Wheat forage tested at Scotts Bluff Station shows potential profitability with yields up to five tons per acre and over six percent protein when 80 to 100 pounds of nitrogen are applied. Digestibility is high, but feeding trials are needed to confirm value. Wheat silage is compared with corn silage, and hay is fed. Beards in unground hay pose feeding issues, while silage and ground hay have no problems.

Price Control Exemption For Small Retail Firms Described
Omaha report notes the Cost of Living Council exempts retailers with under 100000 dollars in annual gross sales from price controls. IRS Nebraska district director Richard Vinal explains only small retail firms are exempt and service businesses remain covered. He says this should cut IRS workload with little overall economic impact.
