Parents Employed By Children Can Get Social Security Coverage
About 25 000 parents working for their sons or daughters in a trade or business will be covered under the social security law as amended. The change allows bona fide employer employee relationships where the child has the right to direct and control work. Parents already credited can earn additional credits toward retirement survivors and disability benefits. Those without SS cards must apply and include their SS number on wage reports due by April 30 1961.

Jim Takahashi, a Chadron State student, is praised for inserting his own interpretation into still life painting. The hall display in Crites Hall features his skull and desert scene, framed in oak by Gerrod Toepfer, with a plaque funded by the dormitory. The project united the men in pride and fellowship as funds covered materials. Slugs are snails without shells, and Butler County, Missouri, was named for William O. Butler, 1848 vice presidential candidate.
