Seatbelts Save Couple From Serious Injuries

A Chappell couple escaped serious harm when a Rambler driven by Crafton Crabb collided with a Lodgepole man’s pickup four miles north of Lodgepole at 3 40 p m. Mrs Esther Crabb suffered minor injuries and was taken to Chappell hospital. Damage was about 1000 to the Rambler and 250 to the pickup.

Pair Plead Guilty In Drug Cases

Robert Lopez and Daniel Stark of Sidney pled guilty in District Court to possession of narcotic drugs. They were sentenced to one year of probation. The charges date back to February of last year.

Omaha district IRS official Richard P. Vinal urged employers to issue 1971 W-2 forms by Monday January 31. The forms show earnings tax withheld and Social Security data and must be provided to employees so they can file tax returns on time. Penalties may apply for late W-2 submissions.
