Infant dies of bronchial pneumonia in Sidney
Marvin Brauer thirteen months old, child of Mr and Mrs Emanuel Brauer, died Tuesday after a lingering illness. Dr R E Roche cared for him since the start of the year. Services are held at his grandmother’s home, Mrs Herman Brauer, in Sidney with burial at the German Lutheran church southeast of Sidney conducted by Rev W F Ludwig.

Demonstrations used slides, charts, and moving pictures. a free lunch was served at the Methodist Church parlors. Rev. St Patrick's Academy basketball team defeated Peetz 20 to 8 on Peets floor. The defense showed improvement and the offense ran well until late, when carelessness with the ball increased with a large lead. Pioneer Elizabeth Hargrave Dies in Huntsman District Missourian
Elizabeth Hargrave a Saline County Missouri pioneer who lived most of her life there died Saturday January fifteenth at the home of her niece Mrs. W A Sparks in the Huntsman district where she had resided since November after moving to western Nebraska. She was eighty eight and the last of five siblings. Born September 1838 she witnessed the Civil War era and slavery era in Missouri. A lifelong Baptist member she never married. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Monday at two o clock with Rev Louis H Kaub officiating and she was buried in Greenlawn at Sidney cemetery. Though new to the region, acquaintances of the Sparks family recalled her genial kindly nature.
