Cheyenne County Leads in Wheat and Livestock Yields

The January Nebraska State Board of Agriculture bulletin ranks Cheyenne County highly in 1915 crops. It notes Cheyenne as second in spring wheat yield, seventh in winter wheat, eighth in oats, and seventh in corn, rye, and barley per acre. Fire Damages Dr. Ames Building in Potter

A Sunday night blaze at about 2 am gutted the interior of Dr. A. Ames drug store occupied by Leroy Larsen in Potter. Stock destroyed. brick walls remain. Weather favors rebuilding. city water and community aid helped save additional property.

Death of Mrs. Fred Price Revered Lodge Member

The Royal Neighbor lodge received word of the death of Mrs. Fred Price a lodge member and former county resident. She died early this month at her home in Montrose Colorado. She lived in Nebraska from 1878 to 1890 with six years in Cheyenne County. She was a devout Methodist and noted for excellent character.

J. M. Swenson and his bride returned Sunday from a wedding tour of the west visiting Oregon California and Old Mexico among other states.
