Cheyenne County deposits totaled $21,109,287 on December 31 1969, up from $18,543,784 a year earlier. The five banks in the county and The Sidney Federal Savings and Loan Assn reported sizable gains with total deposits nearing $15 million in Sidney banks, while Potter Dalton and Lodgepole banks added to the rise. The American National Bank approached $10 million in deposits at $9,953,163, with The Sidney National Bank posting $5,221,049. Potter State Bank, Dalton State Bank, and First State Bank reported smaller increases. Savings and loan assets rose to $3.65 million with a reserve boost and a projected higher 1970 dividend payout.
