Switchman Hurt In East Yard Accident Tuesday
Bob Dyke aged 67, veteran Union Pacific switchman, lost three fingers and risks losing his arm after being knocked from a caboose in the east yards Tuesday night. He was taken to Rische Hospital where Dr. Dorwart amputated the fingers. the arm’s fate remains unsettled. Dyke, a long-time Kidney yard employee, sought to keep working despite nearing retirement.
