The Sidney High Red Raiders defeated Scottsbluff 26 20 in varsity and 26 24 in junior varsity action, snapping a seven year wait for a Bearcats loss and ending a 15 dual streak for Scottsbluff. Steve Mattoon John Jeppesen and Brent Abrams led the Raiders with key pins and decisions as Phil Kurz sustained a shoulder injury. Sidney improved to 3 3 1 in dual meets while Scottsbluff fell to 3 1. The junior varsity also ended a 38 match Scottsbluff win streak with a late pin by Ron Lienemann.
